Thanks to some making comments in this forum about new laser tests that labs need to find 'treatments' on gems I LEARNED something new.
I have verified the invasive equipment used by labs today to detect 'treatment' is creating huge pits in hidden areas on gems to prove a gem hasn't been 'treated'.
So LIBS SIMS and the other laser equipment used creates .1mm to .03mm HUGE HOLES or PITS that if in the facet area of a gem would be considered a FLAW
So if you own a high end gem with recent lab cert, look at the girdle areas on your 'gems' and you can see huge HOLES with only a 10x loupe
That FACT has led me to decide to dump the large collection of gems I own
THANKS
