In the days when I am working from home, and a trip to the bank or office is a major social event, and I haven’t yet been to the post office, I got a call from a jeweler. My aqua ring has been finally made. I shall add photos later; the upper two are outside, the lower, inside, no light. It was ordered way before COVID; now everything is on a back burner, but it was 08816144-ECF5-45E3-97D5-7C167D1D217A.jpeg EA1DFA1D-C94F-4C2B-B578-A9386A4EC089.jpeg AFC8DED8-57F0-43C8-97F2-74810BE19BAC.jpeg surely nice to get something today.

So about the aqua. I bought an old ring with an old stone what was saturated, windowed and unpolished. I thought that saturation and price were attractive enough, and someone recut it in a more modern style. I mainly wanted a ring as I have a beautiful aquamarine necklace. They don’t quite match as one is an emerald cut and the other, a cushion, but I didn’t look for “a set”. I should make the photo of both

@canuk-gal,

Thank you! That necklace was my idea, around Joshua Rioux’s stone, executed by Joseph Jewellery, and in hindsight, maybe I should have gone with the same company and the same vendor, rather than recutting a stone, etc.

But - I like the ring, too, although it is a different style.

Stunning ring! The pearl and aqua piece is channeling Diana.

Joshua Rioux--that is a name I've not heard about in a long time!

@TL, thank you! You might be right, aquamarine was never my favorite stone, and then watched a movie about Diana’s last love, and suddenly an aqua came my way. )
