Appraisers and Settings

Hi-

I am trying to decide on a setting for my ring. At first I just wanted a simple 3 stone but now I''ve fallen in love with some rather pricey settings such as the Endless Love collection by Ritani and anything micropave. I was wondering when the ring is appraised are the cost of settings figured into the appraisal? Some of the settings are very expensive and I wonder if it''s more worth it to just invest my setting money in to getting more diamonds instead?
