Appraiser in Chicago?

Does anyone have an appraiser they like in Chicago? There is a Victorian ring I'm looking at, but it would be a remote purchase. I'd like to spend a little money to get a professional in person to take a look and give me their opinion. Preferably someone who is knowledgeable of old stones/pieces.

I second this. I just got my engagement ring appraised by him and he was an absolute delight to work with. Responsive, knowledgeable and very sweet. My ring setting isn't vintage, but my center stone is.
