Appraisals and insurance quesitons

So I want to first out and let you know I went and had two independent appraisals done by PS recommend appraisers.

One of them was literally DOUBLE of the other.

The one that was double actually called and spoke to the designer to get a "suggested" retail price etc.

I now have 3 different appraisal values, 2 independent and one from Pearlmans who i bought the ring from

Which one should I use for insurance purposes?

What would it cost to replace the ring?

This may seem obvious since you just bought it but it may be a closeout or discontinued item that's affecting the prices because the replacment will have to be custom made. Some manufactures take the approach that their 'suggested' retail prices are carved in stone and stores that discount lose their authorized dealer status while others use the idea of suggesting an extremely high number so everyone has room to look good as a discounter. The bigger the better. Any idea where your's fits on this continuum? Was your transaction price somewhere near MSRP? If not, why not?
