Anyway to get reports online?

Is there any way to get GIA, IGI, EGL...etc. reports online if one has the number?

Also, is it possible to have a GIA certified diamond WITHOUT the diamond being laser inscribed?

If so, how would one know if the report was actually of said diamond?

With EGL-USA and IGI graded diamonds, you can view the report on-line if you have the diamond grading report numbers. I do not believe GIA has that feature; however you can call GIA to confirm info contained within a GIA report for legitimacy.

As for your quesion on whether you can have GIA graded diamonds without GIA report number inscribed on the diamond - a definite yes. GIA typically does not inscribe the diamond report number on the diamond unless they are asked to do so and their diamond report will indicate that the GIA # is inscribed on the report itself if that was the case.

Most of us internet companies can fax or email certificates to the customer if it is not already displayed online. So we should be able to provide you with a copy of the GIA, AGS, or EGL certificates as long as you have the stock number of the diamond that you desire. Not all GIA graded diamonds have been laser inscribed. In order to find out if the diamond that you purchase matches up with the grading report simply take that diamond to an independent appraiser before or after your purchase to have inspected. The appraiser will be able to show you how that specific diamond matches the grading report. Hopefully this helps.
