Anyone want to photoshop to scale for me? Please?

I'm a down and dirty cut and paster. I just can't get the scale right.
If someone could help me out I'd sure be greatful! No need for perfection, just a general idea.
The pair are 7.3x5.5
The singleton is 12x9.6

I have an amethyst that's 12 x 9, I just measured the stone to be sure. Should give you an idea of size.

I think the on hand comparison will be more useful, but anyway, here's the bottom one by itself -- 12mm is a little less than 1/2 of an inch.

Ok, found some 7x5 earrings, with my 9x12 amethyst. Then the mock up.

Even better, I frequently use DKs cads as a way to measure out layouts when I'm designing. These are pretty close to the scale (each little square is 1mm). You can see 2 different stone orientations.

In case anyone is interested- these are stills from the vendors video of the big garnet. They state no color shift.
Am needing to learn not to get attached to the glamour/enhanced shot of vendors still photos so I don't get too enamored of what I "think" it should look like and end up somewhat disappointed.
Still pretty, but not what I had originally in mind.
