Anyone know a B&M in NYC that I can buy a handheld ASET?

I would like to either buy or rent a handheld ASET and IdealScope- anyone know where I can get it in NYC? I don't have time to order online and wait for it to be shipped. Thanks!

I am assuming you want to have the diamond for a long time? So I don't think waiting an extra week or so and trying to make the best choice is a bad idea...in the long run I think you will be happier.

but question-can't you get an ASET for the old mine you were considering?

Hi, yes, I've requested an ASET for the old mine brilliant but I don't think they'll be able to provide it. I would rather check it myself with an ASET before having to pay a couple hundred for an independent appraisal. I fear I won't have long on this stone, if I don't claim it, it will be gone, as the vendor told me there are several others that had looked at the stone and were considering it. I don't think thats a sales ploy either.

who is the vendor? is it one that usually provides ASET images?

David Atlas is the US agent. Based in Eastern PA, I believe they can rush your order if you want to. Give him a call?

Else maybe contact one of the PS vendors, GOG, JA, DBL, to see if they have a handheld one that they can lend to you for a short while?

Hi everyone, thanks for the replies! The PS vendor does not use ASET or IdealScope, I received that answer just a little while ago in response to my query. It's still a gorgeous stone, but I would love to see how it looks with the ASET because getting the most light performance for my dollars is my priority.
