I figured most people in NY won't click on the GTA G2G thread since it's in Canada-however I just checked since I know there is at least one PSer in that area how far Vineland estates is from Buffalo-and it's 45 minutes away. So if you are in the area and are interested in meeting up with some PSers for wine and diamonds in Aug. please click on the GTA G2G thread and throw your 2 cents in. The more the merrier!

Sorry if this is a bit off topic but I'll be in Buffalo soon. Any suggestions on things to do on Monday night in the downtown area?

Hi! Buffalonian here :D

What kind of stuff of are you into?

Chippewa is the main strip for night life. Bars/Clubs

There are some restaurants on Chippewa - From pub to high end

Allentown is the "gayborhood" and also a bit of the hipster hang out. Good restaurants can be found on Allen st as well.

Elmwood is another great strip of bars and restaurants. Lots of different types of restaurants. A foody paradise.

Hertel is another strip of bars and restaurants.

Not to mention all the galleries and museums and theaters etc...

Will you be staying downtown or in one of the suburbs?

Davi! I didn't know you're from Buffalo! Most of my family is from there, I'm about an hour away though. :wavey:

If you like wings, anchor bar is a great stop.

The only things I do in Buffalo is to go to Fashion Outlets and Walden Galleria. They got this Chinese massage place at Walden Galleria - $1 / minute - such a good massage.

Thanks. I'll be downtown @ DoubleTree. I hope many of the places you mentioned will stay open past midnight? I have a late arrival.

LOVE the fashion outlets. Wish they were actually in Buffalo, though. It's about 1/2 an hour north, and you have to drive over the horrible Grand Island bridges. Did I mention I hate bridges? Cuz I hate bridges.

There's a really great Italian place on genessee st. In Cheekowaga called La Bella's that we love to stop at when we have the chance. Would be about 15 min. from where you're staying.

Bars are open until 4AM. Some places serve food. Jims Steak Out on Chippewa serves until 5 something in the morning. There's also a few pizza joints on Chippewa that are open til 2ish. There is Town restaurant on Allen and Elmwood that is great for late night food. You can't go wrong really with 24hr Greek places here.

If you're here for a few days, Anchor Bar isn't too far from your Hotel. Birthplace of the wing (not necessarily the "best" wings in town, but a great experience nonetheless)

If you're here the day after Easter, Buffalo really celebrates Dyngus Day. A great day of good old Polish fun :D

Manderz- I'm not a native Buffalonian (the better half is a native though) :wavey:

Fashion Outlets ... is that considered Niagara Falls?

Yep. It's about 20 minutes north of downtown Buffalo in Niagara Falls proper. (I know you that but for other people's knowledge)
