I desperately want a pair as my posture is nonexistent and I could use the extra help with walking. Ebay has a few but mostly used, I don''t want used so Ill pay full price if I must. I am going to try to find a store here that sells them to see if I still want some...but I wanted some testimonials...

sorry deleted due to faulty site........I guess they're in New Orleans.

Orthotebbshoes.com

I dont get it exactly why is it that you want them?

Ame, I think the concept sounds wonderful!! But, umm, from the pics online, you couldn''t pay me to wear them! But maybe they don''t look so big and clunky in real life.

I would definitely try some on before buying.

And yeah, used shoes gross me out.

I''ve had my MBTs two months and they have completely eliminated terrible pain in my right knee due to a malformation of the kneecap. In addition to correcting posture, they work your butt, thigh, and calve muscles when you walk. They are big and clunky but I looooove them. Bought mine online from a vendor in California. I plan on taking them to Spain with me this month where we''ll be on our feet on hard uneven surfaces for hours a day.

Matatora - If i remember correctly, Ame has knee problems and i''m guessing she is looking into them as an alternative to surgery.

Ame - I would be interested to know how you like these shoes and if they help you out with your knee problems. I have patella femoral that has bugged me for years from playing basketball. Even though ive stopped playing, my knees still kill me and make a HORRIBLE crunching/grinding noise.

what are they supposed to do? I have bad ankles/feet.. knees are OK, but on thier way out.. Will they help my ankles and feet not hurt so bad from working?

I have them... but haven''t worn them in a while. They are very big and bulky. I feel extremely obvious when I wear them. I didn''t really notice too much of a difference when I used them. My shin splints maybe hurt a little less, but that''s it. It''s possible that I didn''t wear them enough... but I would never wear them outside since they were so ugly.

Ame,

look at bliss spa, www.blissworld.com I think they still carry them.

Also, a very good orthopedic surgeon close to you is Wade Hammond in Kirkwood. Do you have Osgood Schlatters syndrome?

Thats never been mentioned.

I just wondered if they would help my posture and keep me from rolling ankles as much.

Sorry... i thought i remember reading you had knee problems.

I do. But my ankles are far worse. :)

go to osgood schlatter org and read up on it and see if you have the symptoms. My daughter has it in both knees and wears a brace and inserts in her shoes for periods of time/

Ame, my ankles roll a ton (pronation is for kool people). Anywho Nike now designs their sneakers in various levels to help counter act this...I looked at the MBT sneakers but the idea of having to watch a DVD to learn how to walk in new shoes, bit much for me. I am loving my new walking shoes... the diffrence in my feet and my ankles ( can walk with my ankle bone touching the ground when they roll to far, has been really spiffy. I am in love!!!

ooh really? Thanks for the heads up!
I LOATHE Nike. Just loathe... Maybe another company will come out with something like this so I don't have to deny my entire belief structure!

If you are looking for good walking shoes then you need ones where the entire sole will meet the bottom of the ground, most go up in the middle are some point but this is bad for distance walking. Let me see if I can locate a picture where this is shown, I am not a word artist.

Good

I got what you meant. My NBs are like that, albeit old. I wore a LOT of Asics too. Haven''t found any lately that weren''t butt ugly.
