Man I can''t stop thinking about this stone!!!!!!!

It''s only .60 carats... but how.. NEON is it??

Basically I''m saying... "Help! I only know that I love things and that''s about it!"

What should I look for in a stone?

I like that stone a lot as well...except for the size.

The saturation appears intense and I like that slightly sleepy appearance.

I know! I wish it was bigger... though, my original e-ring is only .70 (previously thought to be .60) so I should maaaaybe show some love for smaller stones? Perhaps the brightness of it will make up for the size?

It''s $160... does that seem fair? (I really have no clue guys!)

This one is going to smaller than your previous e-ring because coloured gemstones are denser than diamonds. $160 seems a reasonable asking price.

I knew there was a reason I love this site!

So many people with so much knowledge!! Thank you! I just have this urge to buy this stone... I''ve never seen one this color before :)

I''ve loved that one for a while as well. I''ve imagined it bezeled in 18 yellow gold with a bevel in the bezel, or as a three stone with emerald cut or baguette diamond sides. The only thing that''s held me back is size; 4.6mm is tiny! I have an emerald that is 4.3mm, and I adore it, but I''d like something a little larger for my next gemstone purchase.

It really is a beautiful stone. Does anyone know how this one is cut? I don''t really see steps, so I''m assuming its not an asscher. Not a radiant; could it be a princess with cut corners?

I was thinking it was a princess as well...

Yes, if it were a little bit bigger, it would have been long gone. I would use it as a awesome accent stone for a pendant, but I don''t have the right project going right now.

Szh, maybe this will make you and others feel better about that ruby, but my e-ring Asscher is only 5mm flat.

It looks like a square Barion cut.

Thanks Chrono!

Yes it is a divine color!!! Someone with more design imagination than me needs to buy it. I would never figure out what to do with it.

LTP What do you mean by 5mm flat? You mean 5.0mm by 5.0 mm? With the setting it''s in I never would have guessed that. So it just proves that someone could buy this stone and make it a star.

Your engagement ring, Neatfreak''s, and Blueroses'' are the ones that inspired my love for the bevel-in-the-bezel look.

Oops here it is!
Oh GOOD!! I''ve been thinking that both of those gems really need a home. I just don''t have the design skill to figure out what to do with them. I bet you do though. Any thoughts?

Just in case I wasn''t clear, I do love both of your new stones.

Oh not to worry! Everyone has different tastes. :) I am so very excited! I asked FI if I could have these three stones for my birthday (November) and he said no.... But get them anyway! I then asked if they are my birthday gift. Again he said no.... So hmmmm... He''s totally the best!!!

Really nice stones. Ruby could work nicely in a band-type ring with either something white (diamonds) or a different shade of red (pyrope garnets), or some completely different color combo (it''d probably be best to use step cut stones regardless of color). But it''s hard to make stones of that size "stand alone", they need some assistance to make an impact.

I''m considering a temporary LOGR setting so I can wear it ASAP :) but then reset it with diamond traps, perhaps?..... ohhh like Erica D''s!! It''d be like a smaller version :) I have no idea yet. Need to brainstorm.

Nice buy!

I''ve had insomnia lately... I''m currently online buying pearls!
