Any word on the SoCal GTG?

Just curious as to whether a date has been decided/where we''re meeting. I''m looking forward to meeting my fellow Southern Californians and checking out some awesome bling!

Did you see this poll thread? SoCal GTG Poll. You could cast a vote and bump it to get the ball rolling again. So far it's looking like 1/5/08, downtown.

PS-Does your username have anything to do with where you went to high school, by any chance?

No...I just like pirates.

It would have been awesome if that was my high school mascot though! I would have actually GONE to every football game. In full pirate regalia, of course...

Ah, that was my other guess! Our local high school here in the south bay is the Pirates. Do you know of the Port Royal Privateers? PRP. I''m not a member, but I''ve met a few folks who are. They take their piracy VERY SERIOUSLY!

I didn''t actually grow up in LA--moved here about a year and a half ago.

That pirate society is a kick! I have to admit that my piracy is more of the tongue-in-cheek type--those guys are way more hard core than I am! Although I did celebrate Talk Like a Pirate day by coming into work dressed "Business Piratical".
