I have just been turned on to old cuts -- and you all have some of the most beautiful rings out there!!!!

I posted this question on another thread.

I have just started my search & found this ring OEC .

I''m a getting ahead of myself, wanting to buy one of the first ones I find?

I keep coming back to this ring. It has a high carrot weight and a warm color.
Am I missing something horribly wrong with it?? The price is so much lower than I have been finding.

Any thought & honest opions would be great.

OEC ring

This link works. I think the ring is gorgeous, but the hand shot of it makes me wonder a little. I certainly am NO kind of expert, but it shows a big round dark spot in the center. I have no idea what kind of issue that presents in an OEC. I know that I don''t like that look in modern rounds, but it could be a totally different story with old cuts and I''d have to see it in person to really know. I''m interested to see what anyone else says about this, since I really don''t know anything and am only going by one picture. Is that common in old cuts?

Would you mind elaborating. Only b/c I know it is too inexpenisve not to have problems (many problems), I just don''t know what I need to be looking out for, or looking to AVOID

& I am weary of Ebay rings especially in light of the recent thread on an ebay purchase

I too have been following the thread about the "scary" rock

This ebay listing had lots of actual photos, was hoping for some input from the OEC experts, I too am taken by the look and would like to learn how to distinguish the better OEC''s as I am sure it will become a "must have" for me in the future!

I just re-read my own post, I am "weary" of Ebay should have been "wary"!!!!
I think my southern accent went through my fingers & onto my keyboard
