Any advice/opinions on these 3 Radiants?

Hi all,

I've been lurking on the forum for a while now soaking up what I can, searching the forums for answers to questions I've had, etc. It's been extremely helpful. I've also reviewed many threads with posters asking for feedback on and comparison of stones they are considering. I'm at that point myself now and I've done the majority of the legwork, but I'd love opinions on my choices.

I (and my girlfiend) like the more square/rectangular cuts as something unique. That said, she doesn't have a hard opinion on what style radiant she likes best and as you all know and have pointed out, they vary considerably. I've spent my time narrowing my search to what I think are my favorite examples of two or three different styles. A regular rectangular radiant, a square radiant, and a specialty cut radiant. I've had a gemologist at the vendor compare them and give me his opinion and feedback on all three. It was very helpful and I'm closing in on a decision, but if you have a second to offer yours, I'd love to hear it.

Obviously these are very different stones, but all similar in ct. weight and color and all are confirmed to be eye clean. I could include specifics, but at this point, I'm pretty content with those things and I'm down to just trying to decide which would be most beautiful. Please weigh in if you can. I'm close to pulling the trigger, which is exciting

I like the specialty cut square, but that is just a personal preference. I'm interested to see what you choose and what you decide on for a setting.

My personal preference is the specialty cut square. I do like other cut patterns but the cut of the other 2 patterns didn't do it for me.

Thanks for the responses so far, I appreciate the input. It's a little difficult to choose between the more typical radiant cuts and the specialty cut. I do like both and so does she. Part of it boils down to preference on the larger flashes from the faceting on the specialty cut that is more like a round vs. a lot of smaller sparkles.

That said, is there anything any of you would point to that would be of concern with any of them based on the images and ASET? Look like good candidates to you compared to what's out there in radiant cut? Radiants really are all over the place and it took me a while to zero in on these.

I would not, I would prefer a round, as the same carat size will look bigger than a rectangular cut. And you can always set a round stone in a cushion or square-ish look ring setting.

Specialty cut is my choice too. But all three of them are nice. I think the second one looks like a princess.

I would not want a round in a square halo.

Might as well get a nice hearts and arrows cushion if you are going to do that.
