Antique Silver Ring: Red Garnet or Ruby

Hey folks,

I got a great antique ring. It got made of 925 silver and I think the stones are rubies or red garnets. I tend to think that they are red garnets and not rubies. What do you think?

Most likely to be pyrope garnet.

Most definitely NOT rubies. Garnets if they are real, and glass if not.
