I was there today and saw a half-million ruby I have been visiting for a couple of years
. Did anyone else go? What didyou see? Here are the spectacular Raymond Yard ruby ring from Eric Originals, an affordable (ha, only $35,000) heated ruby from Fearnley and a lovely truly red spinel from Gemtrade, only $5,000. The hands are not mine.

I also saw this 1850-80 foiled amethyst necklace, a steal at $3500, but I think someone bought it. Each link is granulated.

They are beautiful! The workmanship in the foiled, granulated necklace is really something special. We just don't easily get this kind of handwork anymore. Imagine the years of training to get a jeweler to become this skilled! Thanks for sharing these beauties.
