When I was looking for the original MRB to recut to 5 ct, if you see my previous posts about it, i looked at literally 1,000+ diamonds. I had the flu after christmas and couldnt get out of bed for a week so i just literally was looking at diamonds all day for like 5 or 6 days. I fell IN LOVE with a 7.6 carat I color that had this peachy pink color to it. But southwest charges on the BEGINNING weight, so it not only was the starting diamond more money, but the recut was now going to be more. So i passed on it and bought a smaller beautiful creamy yellow H to do the recut.
The problem was, i was in love with this pinky peach diamond! I kept going back to it for months checking periodically if it was still available. Five months of checking on it and i asked myself, "How disappointed would you be if it was no longer available..." and i decided I'd be pretty disappointed. Then Ritani had a 25% off memorial day sale, so i just bought it. I figured I'd just buy it and not do anything with it and hold onto it, but being the good Pricescoper I am, the day I got it I sent Ashley an email about recutting it. I read the "American Cut" book and wanted to try slightly different parameters from the last one I did. So you know that "Tolkowsky Diamonds of Magnificent Brilliancy" Ideal chart?
Someone made AI computer generated pics of them and I decided I liked D2 and D4 LOL
BUT I somehow told Ashley the wrong stats on the crown angle, ooops Oh well. It's still beautiful and I love it! I also freaked out a little and told him to make the culet medium instead of large.. i always worry it will be too big and i HATE that look of the huge culet, but i think that was a mistake (again on my part) and i should have done large culet instead of medium
Here's the 7.6 peachy modern round brilliant before
In person you didn't really see the color
AAAND here is the after
