Well, all the rellies have gone home and we are finally back to being by ourselves. Yay! I will post more when we get the pro pics, as I don''t have a lot of photos right now. I''ll also post a proper thank you then, as I truly had a "pricescope" wedding.

I had the best time...stress free, and not caring about the details. Everything worked out wonderfully even the weather (rain was in the forecast, which is rare for socal this time of year - but it was a PERFECT day...warm with just the slightest hint of breeze). The ceremony site was lovely and free, the $50 dress fit beautifully, and a friend of a friend made me a bouquet right in the nick of time. I still believe in eloping, but our wedding was so perfect that I would do it all over again. I got to do my three "goals"...say something special and personal to my husband, have a first dance with him, and of course...EAT!!!

Oh, and the visitors book was a hit. Hee hee! I tell you, don''t sweat the small stuff, because really...no one cares.

So here are the few pics that I have....

Coming down the aisle, I mean, sand. Escorted by my brother - who is also my man of honor. Hubby''s sister is his best woman. They told him if could make a break for it if he wanted by jumping in the water, but that mostly likely he wouldn''t get very far before someone caught him....

HOLY COW. The sky could not be blue-er. You guys against the beach horizon should be the cover shot for BEACH HITCHIN'' MONTHLY. Look into it!

Hilarious about the "Visitor''s Book" being a hit! And who knew that dress had layers? I love how it moves in the breeze ... and, HELLO, hubba hubba, body flatter-tastic!

Which earrings did you end up with?
How cute are those floral hairpin thingies!
Rock on for Dudes of Honor!
Have we seen the w-band yet?? I am so spacing!

Yea! More pix! More scoop! WELCOME BACK!!!

One last one with the cake...which was part of the all important "I have to eat" theme. You can't see well, but behind the windows is all ocean!

Well Deco, the only thing I am bummed about is that my wedding clashed me me coming to crash yours.

Yes, I loved the layers of the dress...the bits of video clips folks took looked great because it was softly billowing around. I''m so glad I didn''t spend a lot of money...the dress was pretty dirty along the bottom by the end of it all. But who cares for 50 bucks!

No, I haven''t posted the band yet, but it isn''t anything to write home about...just a simple 2mm matching plat band. I wanted to get something more glitzy, but then finally admitted to myself that while I love to look at PS bling, I am just a plain jane. The thought of melee popping out didn''t sit well with this lazy girl...

The most amusing part of the visitors book was that I was SURE my cousin (who was helping me coordinate on the day) would see it and refuse to put it out there. She looked at it and said "what''s wrong with it? It''s nice!" Oh, and not ONE person wrote their address in the address column. Can''t people follow directions? hehehe.

As I said, thanks to everyone. I''ll write more of a complete "story" when the pro pics come in. I''d really like to share how so many of you inspired this very uninspired bride.

If I''d known about THAT CAKE ... I mighta crashed yours! MMMM. Cake! You look so pretty & blissful & RELAXED in those pix. Looking forward to your summary & more more more pix.

I think a platinum 2mm band must look fab with your e-ring. I wanted one of those too - but since mine would have been an X-tra band ... the budget said NO WAY JOSE! Maybe one day

You look so radiant! What a beautiful wedding!

I was thinking about the "guest book"... if you still have lots of blank pages, maybe you could use it as a guestbook within your "new home". It''s kind of a reborn trend to keep a visitors log... I know you already lived together, but maybe it could be a record of the visitors to your married home, your newlywed days. It would be kind of fun!

Congratulations! It looks like it was a gorgeous day, gorgeous bride, gorgeous wedding! How perfect!

Oh how gorgeous!!!! the sky looks perfect and your dress and your hubby''s shirt and flip flops all went perfectly!!! congrats!!!

What a gorgeous, exotic wedding! You guys look great and the cake looks yummy!! Congratulations!

sumbride, that is a great idea...I think we will do that!

ivana, yes, it is hermosa beach...we are right at the start of hermosa, at the first lifeguard station. The sky and water were gorgeous and so clear since whatever rain came through washed away all the smog.

I loved having the ceremony on Hermosa Beach, as I grew up in the area and often go there. Even though there are far more exotic, gorgeous locales in the world, this is home for me, and the place is already sentimental as it is. I love that I can go rollerblading on the strand and see where I got married any time I want.

Yes, the cake WAS excellent. Torrance bakery...I highly recommend it. Banana as well as carrot cake on different layers. I normally don't like wedding cake, but it was tasty - so many people actually commented on the cake!

Thank you all for the sweet words...as always, this is such a lovely community.

ETA- re: the cake...the photographer wanted us to cut a full slice, and the Australian contingency nearly had a heart attack. Everyone yelled to him "no no no! no cutting all the way!" Even before we started, my husband kept saying, "remember, don't cut it all the way down." I guess that is considered bad luck? I had never heard that before....

All kinds of Aussie superstitions that were new to me. After we were pronounced man and wife, my new mum-in-law gave me a horseshoe (you can kind of see it dangling on the photo of hubby and me) as a sign of good luck as long as the horseshoe always faced up. I guess it's a common wedding thing in Oz.

TG- I just love your pictures.
Everything seems so relaxed and perfect.
Love the beach setting-

You are absolutely stunning in that flowing dress. You are a beauty.
I''m so happy for you
