Something simplistic to show off the cut. It''s also quite a large stone that doesen''t leave too much space around, that is if you''re thinking about a ring. As far as the type of setting, some kind of bezel would be a good idea for a ring, just to make sure that it''s complex shape is well protected. Color of metal, strongly suggest white, unless you''re after something unusual. Yellow would probably make it greenish and rose might give a violet cast.Date: 1/4/2009 2:57:10 AM

I think the knox jewelers rhapsody ring, similar to the snowflake topaz that Gene also cut for a client, would look great with that. Check out Gene''s jewelry section of his website to see that ring. I''ve been drooling over that ring for eons. It''s not cheap, especially if you have to custom size it for the stone, but I think it would be TDF.
Here''s another knox jewelers ring that would be gorgeous for this stone.

Yes, that''s a modified version of the rhapsody setting by knoxjewelers. They sell this setting for a one carat stone, but I assume you can have it customized for any size round. It''s really draw dropping.Date: 1/4/2009 5:25:04 PM

Lori, that aqua is awesome! I''ve been eyeing it on Gene''s site since this summer---in fact, it was the stone that made me aware that Gene could do a modified ''snowflake cut'' and was the inspiration for the white topaz I commissioned from him. Enjoy the aqua! I think that cut is just stunning.
Tourmaline_Lover, thank you for your many compliments on my ring!
