I''m looking for a diamond wedding ring to complement my existing platinum solitare engagement ring. Generally, I''m a fan of the look of a solitaire with a simple diamond band. So far, however, I''m having trouble finding anything that sits even remotely flush with my rather unusal solitaire setting: http://www.bluenile.com/diamond-ring-platinum-solitaire_3804.

I''m not terribly opposed to a gap, but would at least like something that makes a nice-looking match. Any suggestions, PSers? Thanks!

Well, I know a solitaire is common...I actually picked it b/c I figured it would never go out of style. I guess what's somewhat unusual is how low the prongs start and how low the head sits on the band. (If you look at the profile of the ring on the link above, it's easier to see.) Forgive me if I don't have the terms right, but hopefully I'm making sense. Anyhow, I forgot to mention...I'm not a big fan of the curved bands. I know, I'm impossible!

I''m not either

I think it''s easier to get a flush sit (or close to it at least) if you do a shared prong band, as opposed to a channel set band. The open sides will allow for it to nestle a little easier... just about every jeweler out there has one or two to choose from.

Blue Nile has several!

I''m thinking something a little plainer, that wouldn''t overwhelm my 1 carat solitaire. Thanks though!

I''m having the same problem. I have a pear with baguettes on either side. I dont really want to go with the wedding band that goes with it
(basically 2 more baguettes) because I would like some more bling. Baguettes arent very blingy. Even the bands I''ve tried on with curves
end up curving out too much. I dont mind the curves if I could find one that only curves a little. Anywho, I''ve pretty much come to
the conclusion the only way I am going to get a band with some bling (round diamonds) to sit flush with my ering is to have it made. The
bad thing about that is you have to give up your ering for a month so that they can use it to get a flush fit. Dont really want to give it up
but...dont see much other choice besides having the whole thing reset.

Let us know if you find something. Good luck!

That MM band is gorgeous, but I would be very cautious about ordering something custom that can''t be returned. You absolutely have to have a low set band for that e-ring setting, so Memoire and Tiffany will be your best bet. Both carry many sizes of stones, and I personaly like a delicate band with small stones so the e-ring diamond doesn''t get lost. But they have all sizes. Tiffany also has channel set and bead set and Memoire has low set shared prong. You can contact Memoire to get a list of retailers in your area to try some on. They may not be perfectly flush, but they have to be set low when your diamond is set low. Mine is, and I wear a Tiffany Legacy band with it.

Wapila1 - I think that wedding band is beautiful. It does have some bling (but wont distract from your ering).
