Amathyst stone

Hello! I have an amathyst ring I inherited from my grandmother. The stone has tremendous sedimental value, but I’m curious if the stone has any value. I have little knowledge in this field and my curiosity is peaked. Under my phone flash the stone has blue and pinkish red tones.

Side note, the stone is at least 25 years old if not more.
