I posted CADs of my future e-ring in the Show Me the Ring forum, and I received quite a few responses from people asking how I was going to pair the three-sided pave e-ring with a w-band. I''m so glad they brought this up because the w-band totally slipped my mind! I know there are many threads about this topic, but I haven''t quite found the answers to my questions.

People have given me many creative suggestions, but pretty much all of them require there to be a gap b/w the e-ring and w-band which is what I really don''t want. I think I would prefer to wear the w-band on the right hand if it''s not possible for them to sit flush. To make things more complicated for myself, I want a three-sided pave w-band. Another suggestion was that the w-band could be be two-sided pave, but I think it would make me sad to see the scratches the e-ring pave makes on the smooth w-band.

I e-mailed WF about this, and this is copied and pasted from their response e-mail: "It is possible to have pave on 3 sides but we would have to angel the ring so that they are a bit wider at the bottom (the part that wraps around the finger). However there will be a visual affect to where you will be able to see it when looking down at the ring." Can someone explain this statement to me? I''m so confused!

So in short, is there a way to get what I want (three-sided pave e-ring/w-band that sit flush)? I won''t be heartbroken if it''s not possible, but I thought that if I could find the answer anywhere, it would be on Pricescope!

Thanks in advance for your help!

It'll sit flush at the base, but not at the top if I am understanding what whiteflash means. If you were to cut the rings in half visually where they meet would look like a V, so that the base is "flush" but the top doesn't touch. That way there is no "skin" gap but the diamonds won't rub either.

Otherwise you could put a spacer between the two rings and just let the diamonds eat/push the metal around the spacer over time.

I haven''t spoken to Production, but from what''s written above, it''s saying that the ring designs can be wider at the bottom than the top. By doing this, the rings won''t be able to ''touch'' where the pave is.

However, you will see a visual difference, which means you''ll see the slight space between the rings.....which, to me, is the same thing as a gap.

If nothing except completely flush (touching) will make you happy and you won''t consider soldering them together, you''ll probably want to stick with your intent to wear them on separate hands.

EClaire, I don''t see how you can have both without one scratching the other. Sounds like WF might have a solution.
I did just see on Leon Mege''s site a tiny filler band that goes in between your ER and WB. But then if you want your WB to sit flush
against your ER, this little band wouldn''t allow that.

Eclaire, I had a 3 sided pave halo ring with a matching band that sat flush. I was convinced that they needed to sit flush but after wearing them for a while DSS set in and I noticed that the Ering looked bigger to me when the wband wasn't sitting flush. I ended up getting a plain band to wear in between them....
