i''ve been buying honey at the santa cruz farmers'' market for years.....its all local. i''ve noticed that my allergies are better as a result of using local honey...especially wildflower. i have eucalptys, blackberry, and a lot of others. the blackberry is not artificially flavored but the berry flavor comes directly from the flower, processed by the bees only.
for oatmeal i like the heavy duty toyon and/or buckwheat....which is dark and thick.
I buy local honey only. It has been linked to improving allergies yes, and I tend to have less reactions when I''m eating the local stuff. We have farmers in several areas around us so it is easy to get. I enjoy orange blossom and lavendar, but one of our farmers does a wildflower honey that is amazing. I get it raw.
