Import duties depend on the country to which the diamond is being shipped. Australia is 10% and Canada is 25%!!!Not sure where it is only 5%?

There is no "import" tax to Canada. Pay only GST and PST where applicable.

Ohh, I was talking about having a diamond ring shipped to the United States from Japan. What the Duty Tax is in the States...
