Hello,

I am in Australia and I''m trying to find a diamond. With very little knowledge and no local business that can help me out much I am trying to find something online. My partner has fell in love with this setting.

So it kind of makes sense to get the stone of them.

I''ve been looking and their Crossfire series as I like the idea of a H&A diamond. They do seem a little over expensive however compared to their international selection.

My budget is around $13,000AU for the stone and I wanted 1ct. What I am trying to work out is 2 things. Sould I just get one of thier stones?

I have been looking at 2 others off their international list but wounder if they will end up as H&A or not.

http://www2.jogiadiamonds.com.au/images/certs/J4159499.pdf ($11,845)

The search I used was http://www.jogiadiamonds.com.au/diamonds/advanced_diamond_search.php?shape=ROUND&min=1&max=1.1&mincol=1&maxcol=3&mincla=3&maxcla=4&mincut=1&maxcut=1&minpol=2&maxpol=2&minsym=2&maxsym=2&price=13000&sort=rank2&page=1&submit=Search

Any advice as to best value would be great.

Cheers

Their crossfire series are their ih-house stones, and more work is done to it in the search, like all the images and video while the international selections are probably from a diamond clearing house, they did not have it on hand.

Regarding H&A, there is not way of knowing if that is a H&A unless a Hearts image is presented.

EDT:
Looking at your selections, I am thinking you are choosing an unnecessarily low color grade and high clarity grade resulting in a paying a large premium. You could easily go to an eye-clean SI1 to save money and no one will be able to tell the difference without tools and training. Color maybe to a G/H grade. Take a look a this color comparison video for ideal cut diamonds. http://vimeo.com/3288695

Ok, both the diamonds look very nice, however no way to tell if they are h&a without hearts and arrows images. It is possible the diamonds might show an arrow pattern but won't necessarily be up to h&a standards for precision.

You could certainly lower your colour and clarity if you want to get the best value, G or H colour and VS clarity, or eyeclean SI1 can be a sweet spot and get you a clean and white diamond - however if you prefer very high quality then thats perfectly fine!

You could also try www.hollowaydiamonds.com.au in Melbourne if that is a possibility, you could deal with Garry via email if you wished. He is a bonzer bloke and highly respected so if you can't find what you want at Jogia, check him out.
