Advice/opinions on CADs pleas

Hi,

I've finally received some CAD images that I would love people to look at and give their opinions please.

I wanted to reset my .90ct diamond in a cushion shaped halo, but with as little gap between the halo and the centre diamond. The jeweller told me that there would always have to be a small gap between the diamond and halo, if the diamond sat directly on the halo you would see a circle mark when you looked directly at the diamond.

These are the second lot of CADs, the first lot the jeweller didn't even let me see, she sent them back straight away with plenty of notes!

I would love to hear what you think. What does everyone think of the gap between the diamond and the halo? Do you think the diamond could be set even lower? Is it possible to add metal to make the gap appear smaller?

I think your current CADs will not have as fitted a look as those last pics of the "good" halo, but it is hard to judge from photos.

-See how the inner perimetre of the "good" halo is very rounded, looks basically circular? As in, the basket itself is rounded
-They made it so rounded on the inside and cushion-shaped on the outside by varying the melee size, it looks like - the corner melee look slightly larger than at N/S/E/W


What does your jeweller say? Have you sent him/her these pictures? He/she is in the best position to judge.
