I am interested in the above ring however I'm a 4.5 and it's a 5.5. Seller will size for me but I just don't see how they can preserve the engraving underneath and on the side of this ring and take it down a size. Is it possible? And is this even a good buy?

I'm on a tear to find a 18k WG deco wedding band, with diamonds or not if it's pretty and dainty enough.

Sorry if there is already a thread on this topic but I can't seem to find it. Will you point me in the direction if there is.
Thank you!

The only way to size a ring down and preserve the engraving on the sides is to fit an inner ring of gold which has been rolled to the correct thickness and solder it in place to make the I.D. of the ring smaller. If you size it in the "normal" way, then the engraving will need to be re-worked to look close to the original, (may not be possible to be exact, but close enough for most).
