Hello everyone! I am new to posting, but not to lurking! I am needing help with wedding band selection. I have a 1ct solitare in a platinum setting. The setting a little thicker than a classic tiffany setting. I wear a 4.75-5 size ring, depending on the weather! I want a shared prong band that will compliment my stone without overwhelming it. I also want the band to be significant enough to be worn alone and still be noticed! I am thinking about an 11 stone from signed pieces. I am thinking that an 11 stone would allow the stones to go down the sides of my finger. (I am hoping it would be, or at least come close, to being a 3/4 eternity. I could be wrong though!) I am looking at an 11 stone .76 and a 1.01. I am open to any other options as well. I have searched the site and looked at everyone''s beautiful solitare and band combos, but I am still unsure! Any advice or opinions you have would be greatly appreciated! Thank you so much for your help!

An 11 stone of 0.7 to 1 ct will probably give you 1/2 to 3/4 coverage. I''m concerned that 10 pointers will overwhelm your solitaire. Of the two, I''d pick the 0.76 cttw because it''s large enough to wear alone and still give a bit of bling with the e-ring.

Chrono, thank you so much for your reply! I had a feeling the 1.01cttw might be a little too much, but you can''t blame a girl for loving her bling!! Anyone else agree, disagree, or have another idea?

Yeah, I''d keep it a bit smaller. The last thing you want is to have your lovely 1ct undermined! But it''s hard to judge what is too much. I''d try a couple of rings out in a local jewelers and see what tcw looks best.

One thing I''ve noticed about eternity bands is that they stand out pretty well by themselves. Just the fact they have a few stones in them makes them far shinier than a regular ring.
