Hi,
I have a faint idea of what the 4c are etc..but would like to purchase a diamond (round or princess) to be used in an engagement in UK very soon.
My budget is around $3000 for 0.7-0.9(estimate) and I would obviously like to get a very good diamond for that money.
I would greatly appreciate if you can guide me to a good few diamonds that are available. I have read that there is bluenile, jamesallen, whiteflash and GOG.
Thanks in advance.

Here are three you could have james allen's gemologist look at and compare

This one is my favorite it scores excellent in all catagories with an HCA score of 1

This one is 340 over you budget but they like you to look at three so I thought I would add it

Number 2 is my favorite by the specs but I would put them on hold and have them take a look at them. You are not obligated to buy by doing so, but I would do it relatively soon, I've posted diamonds for other people and they got snatched up :appl:

And don't forget to get the PS discount!

Thanks for your quick replies.
The thing is that my GF is not picky about shape of diamonds so its up to me to decide.
What happens after I put it on hold and ask them to look at it. Do they give another report? What shall I ask them to look at?
Thank you.

You can ask them if it is eye-clean to your standards (say 6 inches away or whatever distance you want). If its a James
Allen stone you can request an Idealscope for a round stone and an aset for a princess. You can request up to 3 free
of charge so you usually dont request these until you have narrowed it down to your final 2 or 3 stones.

You might want to come up with a narrowed down list of 6 or less and get everyones opinion on which would be thier
choice (make sure they are eye-clean). Then request ideal/asets for the final decision.

I like the second one the best as a said before by the numbers on the HCA, but I would go by their opinion they are going to be looking at inclusions, and sparkle, and they are looking at them in person they won't steer you wrong. They also have a great return policy. They both have great numbers, the second better than the first, but either way you go it will be a great choice. I also had James Allen compare diamonds for me and I went with the one their gemologist suggested, and I couldn't be happier it sparkles more than any of my friend's rings :twirl:

I would ask for IS images for both of those (first two). The first one has 'fatter' arrows which some people prefer, some people prefer thinner arrows.
