I feel very powerless and upset that I even joined pricescope to share my story.
I placed on an order which I found my perfect diamond on Tuesday night, and got the confirmation call the next day.
The agent told us it would be shipped coming Monday. We even paid with debit card. That's like cash.
Everything went smooth until 3 hours ago.

They can not honor the price saying that they are here to make profit , not loss.
I even felt humiliated that the lady kept saying you cannot buy this kind of diamond at this price and
kept telling me that they will find one around my budget not the similar one they will not ship
They kept saying they did not make a mistake but cutter did. Also did not tell me the actual price of the diamond.
It almost sounded like I was the one who committed wrong for buying the diamond they listed at really good price.

Why did they give me the confirmation call?

It will not be until Monday or Tuesday we will receive our money back.
Because I am traveling soon to get married, I will have to order from other seller as possible tonight.

Million thoughts are going on in my mind. Did they sell it to someone else? Or did they just assume because of our last name we will just accept their story? Why couldn't I argue more? Being immigrant myself, I pretty felt I am quite strong and stand for myself until now.

If only there were time and money, I would definitely take more serious action against them.

Any way, thank you for listening. Hope your search for your perfect diamond does not end like mine.
Bless you.

I'm sorry this is happening to you. Is there anyway you could speak with a manager or supervisor and come to a resolution? That is so unfortunate when you've finally selected the perfect diamond. Please try again and see if maybe there is another way to get the diamond you purchased. Unless there are some details missing, that doesn't sound right....

Most places will not honor pricing errors unless it is minor and not worth an angry customer. In this event, is just a courtesy, and they don't have to.

Here it is, under their terms and conditions:

Product Pricing
Management makes every attempt to ensure that our expansive online catalog is as accurate and complete as possible. In the event an item is listed with an inaccurate description or incorrect price due to data-entry or system error, we reserve the right to correct any and all errors and cancel any orders placed for the item listed at the incorrect price or with the inaccurate description. Due to pricing fluctuations in the diamond market, our prices are subject to change without notice.

I am very sorry this happened to you, too! But this is not the first time we have seen it happen. That is the main problem with ordering from vendors who do not have the stones in-house. There is just more room for errors. I'd recommend only dealing with vendors who carry stones in-house. They provide pictures of the stones on their sites. Examples are Good Old Gold, WhiteFlash, James Allen, Brian Gavin. I hope they are able to refund your money promptly!

freshangi - I'm sorry what should have been an exciting purchase was marred by this experience. Really, the Adiamor representative should have been nothing but apologetic and more apologetic, and offering to help you find a suitable replacement stone - especially since they did confirm your order! I hope you're able to find a good replacement in time. Maybe if you could start a post over in Rocky Talky - let us know what you're looking for and in what price range - some of the PS super sleuths could lend a hand!

I'm so sorry this happened to you. I know it is so disappointing, especially since you did receive the confirmation call and you thought the transaction was all completed. At least you are getting your money back.

All the other posters gave you some great advise and I would definitely post in Rocky Talk. They will definitely help you out. Best of luck!

I too am sorry that this happened to you. I can only imagine your disappointment and agree that the CSR should have been nothing less than apologetic and understanding of your situation. Unfortunately these things do happen from time to time, and how the company chooses to handle the situation speaks volumes.

I'd also encourage you to post your criteria and budget here as well. There are so many amazing people here that can help you select an amazing diamond and maybe even a vendor that can get the stone to you ASAP so that you won't have to change any of your plans. Please let us know if you'd like some help.

I'm sorry this happened, it seems really disappointing, and so unfair that they can't refund you right away! If you let us know what you are looking for and your budget, we can help you pick a new diamond that you can hopefully get for your special day.
