Adding Halo to smaller diamond

Is a 0.30 ct solitaire too small to add a halo? This is my engagement ring. I do not want to upgrade for a larger diamond as this diamond is a good quality “Leo” diamond and was the only thing my husband could afford 10 years ago. I was thinking of adding just a halo to the plain band, is that possible?
just wondering if this is too small or if I should look for resetting it into a pave band instead. 57AE5C18-F670-4F40-9FC1-F0352F632AD8.jpeg 74E244FD-17F6-4530-8D62-627016E80A1A.jpeg 37FD99E1-AC4F-43CE-AF48-CF62D6E887D6.jpeg 202A4E81-D348-4416-862F-D9B3C97B4DB1.jpeg

Definitely not too small for a halo! The question would be what size diamonds to use in the halo. Even smaller ones will make a huge visual impact. But you do understand it would mean a new setting, right? I do not believe you will be able to add the halo to the current ring. (I'm not sure if you meant this or not.) I love that you want to keep your original diamond. It will be gorgeous!

The center stone in my profile picture is a 35 point cushion, I don't think it's too small at all.
I do think it is possible to add a peg heat that is a halo, I just don't know how it will look when set, because I don't know if I've ever seen one. I've considered doing
the same thing, myself, by they way, but wasn't sure how it would come out. I'd love to know!

FYI, I did google search for 'Peg head halo" this image came up, and it was from ebay.com
