Hi Everyone,
I would love some honest opinions.
My 10 year anniversary is coming up in May and I was thinking about adding a halo to my current 1 carat solitare engagement ring.
We were going to upgrade the diamond to a 2 carat, but we had twin girls 3 months ago and decided to put that money into their education fund instead.

I attached a file with some pics of my current ring (with my wedding ring) and I downloaded some different halo''s and put that into my ring to see what it would look like. I personally like option #2.

Please let me know what you all think. Does this sound weird? Should I leave my e-ring the way it is, add the halo, or go for the 2 carat?

Thank you all so much!

Personally, I wouldn''t add a halo to your setting, I would get a new setting. The current setting just doesn''t go with the halo IMO.

And congrats on the babies, I just had twin boys!

I agree with neatfreak, get a new setting or get the 2 ct (symbolizing twins

Honestly, I really like your setting the way it is. I would put the money towards an upgraded center stone if it were me, even if that meant waiting a while.

I would get a new setting or upgrade your center stone. To me, when you add a bulky halo to your ER, there''s a possibility it could be overwhelming and start to look like a man''s ring.

I agree with neatfreak. The halo just doesn''t go with your current setting. I would get a new setting if you really want to add a halo.

I think your center stone is lovely! However, I bet that your thick band would overpower any halo. Maybe just reset the stone entirely into a new setting (with or without a halo) for your anniversary? Congratulations to both you and neatfreak on your double blessed events!
