Adding a good diamond

Good afternoon PS,

I am working on a project to replace a missing stone in this ring.

The size is 6. The stone was a .75. Does this look like an authentic piece. How well do you think this could polish up. It is 950 platinum.

When adding the new stone, what considerations should I (A qualified jeweler, not me) keep in mind. Will the prongs hold a new stone of the same size or will it now be too loose? I think a premium branded ring like this with a top quality, h&a will be quite something.

What about resizing a ring like this, is the slightness of the band a problem? Would this alter the hallmarks? What about the color of the new platinum if sizing up?

Many concerns, any and all opinions and thoughts are welcome. Thank you.

It does look like an original piece (no replaced head) and as far as it holding another diamond, I suggest having a jeweler check the prongs to make sure they are not damaged in a way our eyes can not determine
