Addicted to Pricescope?

Is it possible to be addicted to price scope? When I am away I suffer withdrawal and the first thing I do when I come home is run to check out all the new posts... What is the recommended treatment for addiction?

Hi my name is Lisa, and yup I'm addicted to PS. But am making progress, last spring break I only checked in 3 times VS once a day as I did the previous spring break. (I had an excuse to be on the computer then as we were waiting for online acceptance for son's school.) Came back and found everyone talking about lemon pie.

Everyone's avatars had changed and I was totally out of the loop. Took me a while to catch up. Man gone one week, and look what happened and I missed it all!!! Hehe!!!

When I know I am somewhere for a day or more that won''t have internet accesss, I have to braise myself for the withdrawal....and mall jewelry doesn''t look so bad after a few days away.....but I can''t....I just have to ....click...here!!!

One thing that hasn''t been mentioned is that we are a close community. We may not know each other, but do check to see how so and so''s ring is coming along. Or if someone has decided on a setting, after a long exhaustive search. We love hearing about the bride that chose the perfect dress and love to give advice to those in relationship distress. Most of all it''s about helping people buy the best CUT diamond they can afford, and helping them in their search. Always so fun to see them come back with hand pics. But also really fun to celebrate when a LIW gets engaged, married, if a member gets a new job, or buys a new house. Or adds to their family be it furry or human. And then when someone''s close family member is sick , we are there as well. Saying prayers, sending positive vibes and well wishes. I constantly check threads to see how a member is doing, how their family is coping. So to me, that''s a good thing.

...and the last one I check at night? I was literally just thinking "there can''t possibly be new posts already...I just was on here at 11 last night," but there always is something new to read and something new to talk about.

Like everyone else has said, its not just about diamonds anymore (even though that addiction is what brought us all together).

Unfortunately the only cure is cold turkey, and I don''t mean leftovers.

Of course I''m not to sure how successful that actually is. I had a World of Warcraft addiction and had to quit it cold turkey for the sake of my relationship with my fi. I still think about it... alot!

Too bad PS doesn''t have a time limiter!

Yes, have to admit I''m addicted (at least my husband thinks so) but it is so much FUN!!
After the new year I am switching positions to a VA protected computer, which I think means either I can''t websurf, or if I can it is monitored, so no pricescope breaks at work

I am also trying something different and instead of buying gemstones and jewelry whenever I save up a little money, going to try to save up for a larger purchase next year. So if you don''t hear from me as much (keeping away from temptation) you know it''s not that I don''t like you, just trying to keep my eyes on the prize.
