How accurate do the inclusions need to be on the appraisal report for insurance/replacement purposes? I''m not really talking about where inclusions are positioned, but more so on how many inclusions are plotted on the appraisal report. I received my appraisal report in the mail and the appraiser added a red circle around an inclusion (I think it was by accident), so the plot looks worse in inclusions than it really is...

Not important, just the clarity grade is good enough. They are not going to replace you with a diamond, if you lost or damage it, with the exact same inclusions, just the same clarity grade.

Hi Loki

The insurers would either pay out or replace with a similar clarity diamond according to your policy, the actual inclusions and their location won''t be taken into account.
