hey guys, i get on this site quite often to read, but have never posted, so here is my first, hope you can help me out. i am getting ready to purchase an engagement ring, and would like to ask your opinions on price.

the following are the specs that i have received from the jeweler. for the center diamond, i am copying straight off of the GIA diamond grading report that i was given. for the 2 side diamonds, 8 channel cut diamonds, and the platinum ring, i am copying straight off of the "preliminary appraisal" that the jeweler has given me.

for the experts in the house, "approximately" how much should i be paying for this ring? "approximately" how much would it be appraised for?

actually, i realize that my above post is very broad, and i might need to get a little more specific. so please let me rephrase my questions:

- is $13,500 too much to pay for this ring?
- how much are rings like this typically/approximately appraised for?
