Hello Everyone! I figured it''s my turn to introduce myself.

I am 27 and I live in the triad area of North Carolina. I have also lived in Central New York, and Gulfport/Long Beach Mississippi (which I miss terribly). I spent 3 years at the University of Toledo, OH and finished my B.S. in Geography at SUNY Cortland. I am a City Planner (Planner I) for a city of ~90,000 people. Basically I work in planning and zoning, and I won''t go into the politics involved

I have been very happily married for what will be three years on June 16. We have a 19 month old son named Stanley who is my pride and joy. We also have a weiner dog, Magnolia (aka Maggie)who is shown in my avatar, and hence my user name.

Well, that''s me and about all I can think of for now.

Thanks for sharing with us!
Toledo University, not really too far from me. An hour or so. My wife's youngest daughter attended there for a couple of years, now she is at a Cincinatti University.

Hi Doxiemom,

Welcome! My younger son is also 19 months old and he's quite a handful, I must say. . .throws tantrums left and right! lol

I love doxies!! Dogs that is. My dad rescued a mini-doxie at work one day and their lives were never the same. Little Rene (short for Renegade) ruled the roost. He was the best little watch dog, and I really believe he thought he was a rottweiller(sp?). I love all dogs, large, small, any. I have a 90lb female anatolian shepherd that thinks she is human. Spoiled rotten and that's okay.

Hello! I have two dachshunds too, and I had to comment on dachshunds thinking they are much bigger than they really are! As someone said thinking they were like a rottweiler, this is too true! One of my dachshunds grew up with a german shepherd, and he totally thinks he is as big as one.

I miss my doggies so much (I am away at school), and its nice to have a little reminder of them in your avatar. My two dogs are named Nathan and Frank - like the hotdogs. We are a very cheesy family. Here is a picture of Frank below that I thought you might enjoy (I know I love to see pics of other dachshunds hehe). He is a bit fat because he has a thyroid problem lol, but that makes him all the cuter.

Absolutely Adorable..

I definitely have a soft spot for animals..

I love labs, and Regina likes minature pinchers..

Oh what adorable pictures! She has very interesting coloring with those spots, I don't see too many of that kind around.

Actually it is an Invisible Fence collar (there is a wire that runs underground and gives a buzzing sound when they get too close and then a light zap if they go past it) - it sounds inhumane, but trust me they never go past the wire so no harm is done to them, and it keeps them safe from passing cars. My family chose to do this because we live across the street from a harbour, and there isnt much sense in putting up a fence and blocking a pretty view

haha.

Thanks for sharing such cute pics.

I saw doxiemom and had to read the post. Is maggie a dapple? I have two mini-dachshunds. They are both piebalds. Very interesting looking dogs if you have never seen one. I hope maggie has as much personality as my two have. I can''t imagine not having either of them around. We are hoping to breed them soon, but I have never done breeding before, and I am afraid it will be handful!

I love pets too! your pup is very cute!!!

Maggie is a dollface and I want one just like her.

Nothing like Doxie love! I grew up with a dachshund, the smartest, most loyal dog I''ve ever had. She had a voracious appetite, going so far as to take walnuts from a bowl and crack them with her teeth, managing somehow to extract the nutmeats, and emptying candy dishes of their contents, unwrapping and eating every last one. Needless to say, she was a full-figured gal.

Recently, an acquaintance of mine -- well, her dachshund -- had a litter of puppies. They were so adorable! I chickened out, though. I think I would find it easier to have another baby than to housebreak a puppy!

Maybe some day, though.
