Hi Ladies!

As promised, I''m back with the story and pictures!

FI proposed on Wednesday, December 23rd. We had driven out to NY that day to spend Christmas with my family. That night, we met up with 3 of my high school friends and their spouses for dinner. These are people that I''ve been friends with for 15-20 years, and I consider them to be my extended family. We were sitting down for dinner, and he was acting pretty shady. He waited until I sat down, then picked the seat directly opposite me. After we were all sitting and had our drinks, he said that he thought the occasion warranted a toast, as it wasn''t very often that old friends were able to come together like this. He started talking about what an incredible year it had been, thanked me for sticking with him throughout it, and then asked me if I had a few more years in me. Then he pulled the ring box out and asked me to marry him! The rest of the night was kind of a blur...one thing I remember clearly is my friend''s 2-year-old son clapping enthusiastically along with everyone else!

It was so perfect. Having my friends there meant the world to me. And the next morning I got to share the news with my family in person! I can''t imagine a better way to celebrate this momentous step in our lives.
