One of the girls I work with is a HUGE jewelry fan...especially her wedding set...so she keeps jewelry cleaner on her desk. She also has the ultrasonic and a steamer at her house. More power to her, right?
Anyway, during a BORING meeting she leaned over to another married coworker and said "When''s the last time you cleaned your ring~it''s so dirty!" When she told us, she said she couldn''t even tell it was dirty! I told her sometimes you don''t know how dirty it is until you see how clean it can get.
To make a long story short, the next morning she comes in and shows her ring to all of us. As a joke, before she walked in the building she stuck her ENTIRE W-RING SET into the mud outside! I about died. There was mud everywhere~all over her solitaire, in the prongs, between her e-ring and w-ring.
5 minutes later the diamond-lovin coworker walks in and says "Alright, where''s your nasty a$$ ring I''m going to clean it for you." She hands it over and starts cracking up. It was funny, but I kept thinking "She''s not going to get all that mud out of here with just the jewelry cleaner and the little brush."
I have to say she got it sparkly clean, but also said she couldn''t get all the mud underneath the diamond and between the prongs without her steamer. I told her once more that she needs to at least invest in an ultrasonic.
It''s funny thinking about it now, but dang you know?
