First of all, thanks to everyone who posts on here, I''ve learned a great deal by just going through some of the past threads!

My girlfriend has left it my court for the most part so I''ve been looking for a setting for a little bit, and finally found one I think my feature fiance will love! The
Tacori 2626 which I happened to stumble upon. I need my ring by Feb 10th, so with Tacori''s minimum of 30 day wait, I won''t have it in time

So I think really my only option is to order the diamond I want in a presentation setting , which I really didn''t want to do.(unless anyone else has another idea :) OH well, I''m happy I found the ring I know she''ll love.

This brings me to my first question, any ideas on the best way to do this? Do I order the Tacori ring from a local jeweler, and my diamond/temp setting from a place like GOG or whiteflash and have the jeweler transfer it when the ring gets in stock? Do many jewelers do this?

Finally, people here seem to like to help pick out diamonds, so maybe you guys would like to help me :)
my budget is around $5000, but could go up a little bit.
I really want a round Brilliant H&A
I was hoping for as close to 1 carat as I can get but not really caught up on size (realistically I''m probably gonna end up around .8-.9 I''m guessing)
Color I would like G or higher if possible
Would prefer SI1 or higher, but as long as it is eye-clean I am okay with it

Thanks for any help!

GOG is a Tacori dealer call them and see if they can get it quicker and have a diamond that fits what you need.

Hi panko,

Here''s some you could ask about, mainly just if eyeclean (on SI1s). And as strm said, they are a Tacori dealer. One suggestion is, just propose without a ring. My hubby did, as he knew I would want to pick it out, but it didn''t make it any less exciting.

I don''t know how much more you could swing, but this one gets you over the .90 mark. It''s an H, but in a very well cut stone, color is masked more. Unless you girl is highly color sensitive, this is just going to look white and sparkling.

I just wanted to second Ellen that an H will not show color, if you are interested in going closer to a carat. I have an extremely white looking H, that I know is actually closer to an I. It never looks anything but bright white.

Thanks for the advice everyone, I gave GOG a call and they said they would be able to get it just in time if I placed my order today!! I''m super excited

I went with a .85 ct F SI1 -

I hope she loves it!
