So velouria created an awesome yellow thread, which I have been loving! In honor of St. Patrick's Day, I thought I would start a green thread-- please post your beauties--emeralds, garnet, jade, chrysophase, tourmalines etc!!!

I love green and I find this is one color I have the least of! Here is my 4.98 Arizona peridot from Gebe Flanigan cut in a supernova.

Love Green!!!

These are my three favorites....

My 2.22ct Chrome Tourmaline from Jeff Davies set in a ring made also by Jeff.

My 2.49ct Tsavorite from Gene Flanagan

My 6.16ct Pakistan Peridot from Roger Dery

Chris--you have beautiful examples--show us!!

crosspost :errrr:  :twirl:

Thanks Erin.

Lets not forget this one...I consider this the Holy Grail of Merelani Mints, over 8cts. Roger Dery cut and sold this one to my friend Amy. I think Roger won an award for its cut.

I'll add my new mint on here once I have it, but It surely doesn't compare to THIS beauty....

looking forward to seeing everyones greens!!!

This last one is a band I'm having made right now by Wingedlion, it's got some little tsav accents (3 of them, 1.5 mm tiny guys) ;)

(Some pics are mine, some are the seller's - you can prob tell which are which, lol, but to be clear I'll add that the top pic is from Metalicious, the demantoid earrings and pale green tourm from Yvonne, and the band pic from Wingedlion).

A notoriously difficult colour to capture correctly...

Here are a couple of emeralds (oval is Columbian and square is from North Carolina), two Afghan tourms (please pardon the fingerprints), and a tsav.

Lastly, my mints.

Slight correction.... that's not a supernova cut. I rarely cut a supernova, as I don't think it performs as well as some of the oval designs like this one.

Sorry Gene!

Now you've got me curious...what's the name of that cut?

Some greens!

I really don't have much imagination when coming up with names for cuts. That one I called: "PG - Oval Afghan". I originally made it for a tourmaline from Afghanistan. PG is just short for Precision Gem. Normally I give designs names like: "PG - 1.35 ratio Oval". My technical background takes over...

Fair enough! I didn't know it was your own cut design...cool!

Also just realized I posted the wrong pic of the daylight green of my Alex. It's much more like the pic just below with the stackers.

So many beautiful stones on this thread-- I love them!!! Keep it going everyone!! :appl: :appl:

And I know these aren't coloured stones, but here's my new green necklace!

Finally here's my green diamond (it now has some green friends and is off being set):

4 carat mint garnet that I wear every single day. One of my favorite stones of all time.

Stunning!!!

Here are my two remaining green pieces that I have kept through my collection downgrading.

My 5ct Emerald bracelet and then the green tourmaline that started my love affair with Jeff White. LIz Taylor had Cartier and I have Jeff

Although I claim to not like the colour green, I have a surprising number of green stones.

More green gems. My chrysoberyl is more yellow than green so I don't think it should be in this thread.

Sarahbear..that Emerald, and the overall piece...is just awesome.

Chrono that mint looks really nice...

Thought I'd add a couple more of mine. My Mali and Sphene are the only two stones that survived my No-Pear policy, lol. The Garnet is brighter in person and the Sphene is more green than yellow (but the pic looks more yellow).

Also threw in a Moldavite since I haven't seen anyone else post one.

8mm Arizona asscher peridot ring; 3.87ct oval Burma peridot ring; 3.9ct (10mm) Pakistani peridot pendant

Even thought the stones are from different locations, they match pretty well. The pendant stone is darker IRL than it appears in this photo.
