What is the table % on the stone? You really want to have a crown of at least 10% and the depth is a little on the low side (there may be some light leakage). Do you have an ideal scope image?
Most everyone is going to be quite nice and gingerly break the news to you. But I am not going to do it quite that way. If you want size only this is the stone for you. If you want some cut quality and light return then keep reading the info. on this site. My experience with diamonds are that the "good" ones will be worth more not only now in appreciation but in value many many years later as they are passed along to heirs or sold. Let us know if you find any other stones!
Actually Brad, until recently, the GemAppraisers chart indicated that a 9% crown was a 1A. So this isn't really bad. We don't know the pavillion angle...but I believe that this would be a nice stone actually.
Hi, MMM! My concern with this stone is it's going to be one with a 72% table or something. As for the crown, you do need at least 10% to come close to the fire of a round!
hey babe! I dunno. I don't think the princess will ever come close to the fire of a round (but it sure is pretty and I still do love the princess!) The one stone I looked at GOG last had a 9.4 or something and it was still an amazing stone...together with the benefit of how huge this thing is gonna look...I kinda like it...
Comparing the best to the best you're definitely right, but my princess has more fire than lots of rounds when I go into the jewelry stores! I'd be able to accept the crown if the table is good on this stone though!
