Which Small Emerald?

Which do you guys prefer? I know nothing about emerald cuts but would love to order it today. It's going to be used as an accent stationary diamond to the right of a small disc with initials all in rose gold.

I know nothing about emeralds other than I really love 'em. Hoping to get opinions on which is the better of the two.
First one and Second here

From the pics I prefer the second one. But I don't know if there's really much of a difference. I do know I want to keep it colorless and no lower than a VS1, even at that size just for mind clean status.

Thanks for looking.

I'm an EC girl, and have a preference to the center of the second EC. They really appear to be very similar to me from the videos though.

Best to get ASETs if you can. If you need to order today, can you get both, decide in person, and return the poorer performer?

I think they're both decent finds to my eye, good work! :)

A few that caught my eye at JA:

Lonnnnng centre facets and seems to have good contrast/obstruction patterning when in motion - perhaps too much when head-on? but it is an interesting pattern :)

P3 facets in the very centre are perhaps a little 'quiet', but they do seem to be reflecting virtual facets (I think) and aren't completely dead. I quite like it overall!

Maybe a little lacking in brightness head-on? but I like the contrast patterns and it seems bright across the whole width and length of the stone from other angles, which is not always guaranteed. I think this performs pretty well to my eyes!

Thanks for taking the time to find these. Gonna look at them in the morning and hopefully decide on one.

Place on hold, request ASET’s (BN may not be able to provide), and compare.

Good luck!! Great choices!! :mrgreen2:

I agree with others that the second one looks a little more lively.
