What size moissy for this style of band?

I'm considering getting a AVEC to make a ring like this, but not sure what size I should go for. I don't think this design will work with something too big, but I want the moissy big enough so I can appreciate the facets!

I don't mind wearing a wider band than the one pictured.

I picked the middle size but I honestly am not sure unless I see it on the finger/hand for size reference.
I don’t know what size stone the model is wearing but it looks small to me, more like a wedding band.
I think at least double that size would be the minimum I would get.
Sorry, I’m useless. I can’t even decide on my own setting.

Oh so I found the site attached to this picture! Apparently the stone in the pic is .6ct. So I’m actually going with the 1ct size because I love the daintiness and I worry that the depth of a larger stone will be too bulky

I know I’m paying at least double what an emerald cut from tianyu would cost. But I think the premium is worth it for this sort of proprietary cut. It’s like an asscherald (Asscher-emerald) that’s ideally cut.

@MakingTheGrade This might be a little late for this comment, but I think since the width of the emerald will be close to the width of the band, you should go try on a couple widths of bands to confirm 5mm isn't too wide for you.

Yup. I have in the past while making other rings and 5mm for a band style like this works for me

I asked him for a quote on the setting too. If it’s not too far off from my local jeweler I may have him do it just for one stop shop convenience.

Hehe yeah. For some reason I was just so tickled with the idea of a small avec with those detailed steps! Also for the style I want to use it for it needs to be on the small side.

Sadly the quote for the setting was out of budget so I’ll get the stone loose. Probably going to take a few months before setting it.

So fedex guy didn’t ring the doorbell, I was home. So apparently redelivery will be Monday when I’m not home so they will probably leave another slip and I’ll have to pick it up Tuesday.

Seriously it would take less time to ring my doorbell than write the slip!!!
