I'm sure it is rare to find a pearl in one's food in a restaurant.
But I doubt the pearl is worth "thousands".

yes and he's not getting it appraised either. I have to say he's lucky he didn't break a tooth or choke on it! That's the lucky part IMO.

While it is rare, I don't think what he has is worth much at all except as a curiosity (no value as precious stone) especially with that large blemish. I would still keep as a lucky find.

This would be my luck... then I'd find out the pearl wasn't worth nearly enough to cover my dental bills. LOL
