I'm sure it is rare to find a pearl in one's food in a restaurant.
But I doubt the pearl is worth "thousands".

yes and he's not getting it appraised either. I have to say he's lucky he didn't break a tooth or choke on it! That's the lucky part IMO.:wink2:

While it is rare, I don't think what he has is worth much at all except as a curiosity (no value as precious stone) especially with that large blemish. I would still keep as a lucky find.

I don't think it's worth much at all. It's not nacreous, coming from an edible oyster.

This would be my luck... then I'd find out the pearl wasn't worth nearly enough to cover my dental bills. LOL
