Hello PS’ers. My CADs for my ERing have arrived and I’m having a crisis of confidence. I would love any help, thoughts, advice or ideas. I’ve put my concerns below the pics as well as pics of my stone in its original setting and my inspiration rings. Thank you!

The CADs are for my 1.4 old mine cut stone and I’d really appreciate some help as I’m working with an unknown jeweller (my bf wants some say given I’ve chosen the actual design and wants some mystery!). If you remember I was inspired by Ring Concierge’s antique design and also the delicate vintage style of CvB’s designs. I used the RC antique for one of my inspiration picture’s for the jeweller.

I’d really really appreciate any thoughts on the CAD, and my questions, in particular the measurements, to see if they sound right for a lower delicate looking ring. I’m having a crisis of confidence as I’m going with an unknown jeweller.

Other Questions
-I wanted a fairly low profile ring while allowing for the diamond to be showcased. Are these measurements lowish?
- the big question. Am I mad adding these side stones. Will they distract from the stone? I wanted a delicate, vintage, pretty look but having seen the CAD, I’m worried the stones might ruin it.
-Do the side bits on the CAD look too long and clunky? There seems a lot of metal. Could I get a scalloped edge or millegrain? The side bits also seem to end in the middle of the diamond? Where will they attach?!
-The prong tips look clunky. I liked the swooping look of the RC ones. What should I be asking for? The upright prongs themselves are very solid and straight and look quite...boring and clunky!

Here’s the RC antique style I used as my inspiration ring.

Here’s the non sidestone design I like. Anyone prefer this?!

Any help or thoughts from the amazing community here would be amazing.
Thank you!

Agreed - you’ll get more feedback if your post is in RockyTalky.
I think the CADs look good - they pretty much always look bulkier than the finished product. In saying that, have you seen examples of this jeweller’s work and do you know if they can deliver the delicate look you’re going for?
I would possibly curve the petal shoulders a little or at least see what it looks like more curved if you can. What do they attach to? I don’t see a cross-bar or anything between the prongs so currently they just sorta stop in mid air.

For what it’s worth, I love the solitaire no-side-stones one, it seems more in keeping with the antique cut of the stone. It seems much more English, somehow. Anyway best wishes and I hope you love whichever you choose!

Thank you all of you. I’m not sure how to ask an admin to move it?!

Hello @psadmin
Would it be possible to move y post to the RockyTalk forum please? I’ve posted it in the wrong one apparently. Thanks very much.
