Hi all,
I've actually asked this same question about a year or so ago when I first started looking at rings, but then at the time my gf and I had more important issues to take care of so I put the ring shopping on hold.

Well, now it's time again, so I've been looking around the past week on the various search tools, and the various vendors such as WF, HPD. I'm hoping I could get some help in finding a nice diamond.

Here's my criteria:
carat: 1.7-2.0 ct range
color: G or H
clarity: SI1
Trying to stay in the ~13K range, but would consider more if there's a good diamond. My preference is quality over size, size over a bit of clarity ( to an extent ). Would like all the great H&A and ASET values, but I don't need them to be ideal as I do understand the budget I'm working with.

Some that I think are interesting options:
1. 1.7 G SI1: https://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut-loose-diamond-3905786.htm?source=pricescope

2. see d1 attachment: d1.jpg

3. see d2 attachment: d2.jpg .
this one is attractive but has that one nasty inclusion right in the middle so it's turning me off.. but haven't seen it in person so I'm also hesitant to ignore it completely just yet.

Thoughts? Any better ones I should be considering?

Out of these three, I prefer the first one. It’s a 60/60 style ... some people like that some people don’t ... they tend to have a bit more white light return than fire but they have great spread for their weight, and this one has proven light performance along with WF trade-up policies.

The other two might be ok, but you really need some light performance images to know for sure - plus they may be with a vendor with less generous policies.

I don't like the premium select from WF. I usually recommend people look for either ACA or expert selection from WF, bc sometimes the premium select are hit or miss.

If you get a super ideal cut (from HPD, or WF ACA), I think you could likely consider an I color.

I'd ask about this one

I also like this option

You mentioned your budgjrt is flexible, but I don't know how flexible.

Thank you, how would I go about getting a light performance imaging done, I assume these are the ASET and Idealscope images?

Yup. The ones I attached have all the images you need.
