Have selected a diamond but the HCA score is .8
Does stones that score under 1.0 (HCA) have poor real life performance? The vendor who has the stone tells me that it is a beautiful stone. Should I be concerned about the low score?
Here are the details:
1.41 G VS2 Round
Depth:62.3%
Table:56.0%
Crown Angle:34.5°
Pavilion Angle:40.6°
Girdle:Slightly Thick
Fluorescence:None

I don't think you will have any issues. It looks very well cut and the percentages / angles look good to me.

NO: Stones scoring under 1.0 on HCA do NOT have poor real life performance. That is a misconception.

HCA however remains a rejection-tool. This stone passes that.

But do ask your vendor how they managed to get black arrows in the arrows-view? I think this is human error, but do him the favor of alerting him.

Live long,
