Feelers for interest in 3.93ct lavender spinel

I bought this spinel in October from Jim McCormick after spotting it on Elle's IG page. I absolutely love the color, a beautiful light lavender. However, I really wanted an oval , so I'm considering selling this. It is Sri Lankan, 3.93ct, measures 9.7 x 8 x 5.6. Lavender in most lighting, but it does go bluish in direct sun. Just wonder if there is any interest? I would be asking $1200, which is less than I paid.

I think I may be interested! I have a 6mm round lavender oval I got from someone on PS that I adore- but finding the same shade is tough. I like that mine has blue leaning qualities. If you get a chance, can you post direct sun photos? Thanks!

Thanks! That’s really helpful! I have been looking for a baby blue/ lavender to periwinkle spinel in a larger size than the one I have and this doesn’t look blue enough for me. But it is gorgeous!!! Dust for a quick sale!

Since someone asked, thought I'd put up photos taken in any light situation I could find. I never realized how many colors she takes on! But, mostly, I see lavender.

I'm posting some photos of the stone set loose in a mounting, mostly because I read a lot of comments here about how different a stone can look once mounted! So this was an interesting experiment. Though this is stone is not precision cut, it is beautiful when mounted. I experimented with open back setting vs closed back.
