I can't believe I forgot this song...one of my favorites from decades past.

Kinks-Better Things

Here's wishing you the bluest sky
And hoping something better comes tomorrow
Hoping all the verses rhyme
And the very best of choruses, too
Follow all the doubt and sadness
I know that better things are on the way
Here's hoping all the days ahead
Won't be as bitter as the ones behind you
Be an optimist instead
And somehow happiness will find you
Forget what happened yesterday
I know that better things are on the way
It's really good to see you rocking out
And having fun
Living like you've just begun
Accept your life and what it brings
I hope tomorrow you'll find better things
I know tomorrow you'll find better things
Here's wishing you the bluest sky
And hoping something better comes tomorrow
Hoping all the verses rhyme
And the very best of choruses, too
Follow all the doubt and sadness
I know that better things are on the way
I know you've got a lot of good things happening up ahead
The past is gone, it's all been said
So here's to what the future brings
I know tomorrow you'll find better things
I know tomorrow you'll find better things
I hope tomorrow you'll find better things
I know tomorrow you'll find better things
I hope tomorrow you'll find better things

i am usually drawn to dark deep tracks with long instrumentals but i have been trying to only listen to upbeat songs
the last few years i banned my 2nd fav record from my winter play lists and only enjoy it in summer
so i have to really think about this one
of course it has to be Bruuuuuuuuuuuce although im also tempted to find some Kenny Rogers because i grew up on country music of the 70s
im going to go with the beautiful land of hope and dreams because its a song about acceptance and even though social distancing is now very important sp is community - just not the touchy feely huggy kind right now
a really young Kenny Rogers to make you smile. beautiful hair
Ruby don't take your love to town

I'd probably pick somewhat "dark" choices:

R.E.M - It's the End of the World As We Know It.... (and I feel fine!!!!)

Live - Lightning Crashes

Train - Drops of Jupiter;

Aerosmith - I Don't Want to Miss a Thing (it is the song we played to dance to at our Wedding Reception);

Sarah McLachlan - In the Arms of an Angel
